Set up an iPhone teleprompter for video
Choose a prompting setup, position the phone, adjust readable text and scrolling, and check the recording before your important take.
Choose a teleprompter app for your iPhone
The most useful comparison is a test of the recording you want to make. App listings, prices, and features can change. Use the same short script and the same phone setup to compare candidates, and verify current details in each app's App Store listing.
These guides are published by Sparkwell Studios LLC, the maker of GoScript. They offer practical suggestions, not independent app rankings or a promise about your results.
Free teleprompter app that records video
Run the same short workflow
Create or import a script, adjust the text, rehearse, record, play back, and export. Note confusing controls, interruptions, and any step you cannot complete. Check the supported import formats with an actual file you use; a list of formats does not show whether your document will arrive intact.
Check prompting in your language
Test type size, line spacing, text width, orientation, countdown, and the scrolling modes you need. If you use a reflecting rig, test mirrored text in that setup. Check long words, your writing direction, and mixed numbers or names. Interface translation and speech-recognition support are different capabilities; test voice follow on your exact device and language.
Check recording, interruption, and recovery
Make a short take with the camera and microphone you intend to use. Play it back and export it. Learn how the app reports saving, permission denial, a failed export, or an interrupted recording. Use disposable test content for recovery checks. Do not delete an app containing important work simply to see what happens.
Read the current privacy details
Read both the App Store privacy label and the linked policy. Check whether an account is required, where scripts and recordings are stored, what telemetry or purchase information is sent, and which controls are available. Local content storage does not mean that the app collects no data or that all features work offline.
Check purchases in your own storefront
Before confirming a purchase, use Apple's purchase sheet to verify the local price, billing period, renewal terms, and trial eligibility. Distinguish a subscription from a separate non-renewing purchase. Learn how to restore eligible purchases and manage subscriptions. Do not rely on a comparison article's price or assume every account qualifies for a trial.
Where GoScript fits
GoScript is an iPhone teleprompter for writing, rehearsing, scrolling, and recording in one flow. It does not require an account. Scripts and recordings stay on the device unless you export or share them. Voice follow depends on Apple Speech support for the selected language and device; automatic and manual scrolling are alternatives.
GoScript is free to download with optional purchases. Evaluate its free workflow first and check the current App Store offer if you want paid features. Keep a separate copy of important scripts and takes. The same practical checklist applies to GoScript as to every other candidate.
Common questions
Does this guide rank competing apps?
No. It is published by GoScript's maker and uses a disclosed practical checklist. It does not claim independent rankings, current competitor prices, or verified results for apps it has not tested.
Does a translated app guarantee voice follow in that language?
No. Reading translated controls and recognizing speech are separate capabilities. Check the app's explanation and test the exact language, device, and conditions you will use.
